In the world that we live in there is an infinite source of energy. The energy that supports everything around us, including the planets, animals, all of us, plant life and much, much more.

Reiki is a natural healing method, which taps into that source. It uses Universal Energy to accelerate the body, mind and spirit's healing process. It helps restore the inner and outer harmony.

This energy has been used all over the world for centuries in all sorts of different forms. Some tap into it by doing Tai Chi, Yoga, while others prefer Acupuncture or Seichem.

Reiki is a Japanese word for Universal Life Energy. A man by the name Mikao Usui was the one who re-introduced this ancient healing system in the middle of 20 th century. And since then it has become one of the most widespread practices around the World.

Reiki is directly connected to the Source of our universe and our being, and therefore it allows the Universal Intelligence to direct the energy into the proper channels. Which means that the energy gets focused on the areas that need healing automatically, therefore each healing is concentrated on the specific individual needs of the receiver. It heals both the obvious physical symptoms and the deeper root of it, which may have a mental, emotional, spiritual or physical connection. For example, a symptom might be a headache, but the reason for it is stress from a situation at work. It this case Reiki will not only relieve the headache, but also it would subconsciously help the person to recognize the source of tension, and it will help them see the situation clearly, so that he/she may find the best way to resolve the problem.

During a healing session the healer places the hands on the receiver, according to a traditional method, or a guided pattern. However, the healer will not be concentrating on directing the energy to specific areas within the body. As I mentioned before, the energy is directly connected to the Source, and will automatically flow to the areas where it is needed, as soon as the healer places his/her hands on the body AND has the intention to HEAL.

Within the course of the session both the healer and the receiver may feel sensations of tingling, vibration, heat, cold, feeling of being pulled or floating. Sometimes they will feel the opposite sensations. At other times there will be no experience at all. But whether any obvious sensations are experienced or not, rest assured that the energy has flowed correctly and effectively.

Also, this energy is just as beneficial to the healer as it is to the receiver. While a healing is in session, the healer becomes the conduit for this Universal Energy to flow through them, and of course if there is any dis-ease within the healer, this is where the energy will go to first, simply because it needs a clear channel to flow through. The more grounded, and clear, and open the healer is- the higher frequency energy can be transmitted through him or her.

Reiki passes easily through absolutely anything, so it not necessary to remove any clothing during the session. It will also easily pass through bandages, casts and other obstacles to direct hand contact. It is also not absolutely necessary to place the hands on the receiver. Hand may be held at a small distance from the body.

There is no need to have a physical problem in order to receive a Reiki session. Reiki is great for relaxation, clarity, overall health and well-being. There are so many benefits to this practice, that every time you receive a session you are getting a new charge for your mind, body and spirit. So if you have decided to start practicing Reiki- make sure that you are ready for big changes in your life. This will take you to a whole new level.

REIKI ATTUNMENT

The ability to heal others and ourselves already exists in all of us. All that is needed is to learn how to tap into our abilities. A technique that will help us focus. As you know there are numerous practices out there dedicated to exactly that. Reiki is one of the practices that uses attunements to activate individual's healing ability so that they may immediately access their higher potential for effective and powerful healing.

You could compare a Reiki attunement to tuning a radio. The first attunement is like finding a station amongst the static. The second attunement makes the station clearer, more understandable. And the third- Master Attunement brings the station in perfectly, opening the channel, static-free.

So with the attunement, instead of adjusting the radio, we are tuning in the human body's own energy system to the higher energies of the Universal Life Force. Connecting the person's energy directly to the Source.

Until recently these 3 attunements were given to a student over the period of years. But the World has changed, and we find ourselves in a time of rapidly increasing spiritual understanding. We find ourselves more able to adjust to high- frequency energies. The intensity of spiritual activities gave us a chance to absorb the attunements much faster then even 10 years ago. So today a person is able to receive all 3 attunements in one day (that is if they feel ready), and be able to process them quickly and easily. However, a person might feel that they are not ready to take such a leap in one day, then I would recommend doing one attunement at the time over a period of time that the person feels comfortable with.
